Although this character earned the actress a huge amount of attention, she was of the opinion that portraying the portrayal of Mary Camden as a good actress would restrict her acting ability. Her performance in the 6th season ended her involvement with 7th Heaven. In the film Ulee's Gold, she gained instant recognition for her excellent acting. Despite her impressive performance in Rules of Attraction her film did not receive much success. People were then attracted to her performance on The Texas Chainshaw Massacre. She's also featured in suspenseful film and has proven herself an actor.
