Ortiz is half Mexican from his paternal family. His father is Sam Ortiz he gave him his nickname Tito. He was a troubled child as both of his parents were addicts to heroin. He was a part of criminal gangs. He also used drugs such as cocaine. When he was a child the teen was taken to juvenile detention. His parents divorced when he was 13. He attended Huntington Beach High School and wrestled. His mother exiled him when he turned 18.
